Last year we drove off to the New Forest for a relaxing week away and stayed in a lodge with a hot tub and wine. Scratch that, we stayed in a lodge with a hot tub and wine and a 1 year old so went in the hot tub once and couldn’t handle a hangover so brought the wine home with us.
Anyway, while we were there we discovered in our fancy lodge kitchen a Bosch Tassimo Suny. Being in holiday mode and feeling dangerous we decided to give it a try, long story short we came home and brought one. I don’t know if it’s the coffee house smell at home or the cute little pods or feeling like you are a fully qualified barista that does it, but I love this little machine.
My husband hates coffee but luckily you can also get hot chocolate so even he likes making drinks and feels like a sophisticated grown up while sneakily drinking his Cadburys.
I’m sure some die hard coffee drinkers will be screaming ‘that’s not real coffee, you should be run out of town’, you’re probably right and will have to forgive me, I’m a person who picks my wine by the pictures on the bottle…oh look honey this one has a kangaroo. I’m definitely not a connoisseur. I just like this little machine that takes up hardly any space in my tiny kitchen and that it makes a shooshy sound when it froths the milk. There are loads of different pods so I’m sure there must be a good one in there but I stick to the lattes and macchiatos and I’ve made my peace with that. Also it’s put in the pod and push a button easy so will get the job done for even the most sleep deprived.
So, if you are in the market for a new coffeemaker have a look, these are under £100 with various different models and when you consider some other machines are £400+ and don’t even bring a cup up to bed in the morning I feel confident I’ve made the right choice.
